My 15 year old daughter had homework on a program for a village health worker. She had to produce a list of tasks.
We discussed the topic and she added a few more ideas to her list:
Make sure sanitation and water supply are suitable for use.
Talk on health and hygiene matters, including sicknesses, diet and HIV/AIDS.
Conduct lessons in the church and school.
Distribute anti-malaria medicine.
Arrange vaccinations with the Department of Health.
Arrange talks on breast feeding and mother-to-child infection with HIV/AIDS.
Distribute brochures and posters from the Department of Health.
That was a very useful and helpful project. It promoted innovative ideas and practical thinking.
It was more useful than learning about anal sex and rights without responsibilities of children.
