This is a fake email whose writer pretends to be the founder of AIDS Holistics. The person is seeking to discredit the Positive Living message.

The person is obviously part of the gay, lesbian and paedophile campaign to take control of Papua New Guinea boys and girls.

Jackson should know better but he is part of the gay and lesbian hate campaign. Please note that Jackson wrote the report below and included the hate mail. It was not Lydia Kailap. Her gracious response is above.

 RH must dissociate itself from this sleazy campaign

I HAVE WRITTEN previously in these columns of Nancy Sullivan and her excellent blog, Nineteen years and counting in PNG.

Now Nancy has penned a fine piece on a wicked and obnoxious campaign being waged in Papua New Guinea against people who express even the mildest opposition to the Rimbunan Hijau company and its, er, exploits.
Now I’m not saying that RH is responsible for the campaign, there is no evidence of that, just that the company appears to have some psychologically disturbed fellow travellers from whom it really should dissociate itself.
Sleazy and grubby individuals who use false names to intimidate; obscenity to humiliate; and lies to obfuscate.  Individuals who are thoroughly contemptible and must spend sleepless nights hoping their true identities will never be discovered nor their faces revealed.

Nancy writes: “It is THIS kind of conflation of righteousness and delusion, of gender roles and transgressions, of colonial fears of miscegenation and pity for the poor and helpless----that is fertile ground for soulless monopoly capital.”

I reproduce here some extracts from Nancy’s recent blog piece, Whatever It Takes, which I do encourage you to read in its entirety on her website.

A couple of years ago I wrote a piece on my blog about this history of the Chinese in PNG---nothing authoritative or even comprehensive. But the Post Courier picked it up and printed it, except that they printed only part of the essay and for some reason the Malaysian owners of The National newspaper ran their own condemnation of me personally, calling for my deportation as a racist American expatriate, etc.

Now and again in the social media I get attacked by National reporters for being anti-development, anti-growth, anti-capital, and of course, anti-Papua New Guinean. Someone a few weeks ago wrote that I should (once again) be deported because I’d done more harm than good in PNG. (I wish that this were the real criteria for deportation, because in that case we would certainly not still be fighting Rimbunan Hijau.)


On my blog, too, I do have to erase the occasional racist and sexist rant from someone who clearly has a lot of personal demons, always a comment along the lines of my liking black dick, being a loser, having no credentials, etc. No more or less than a lot of bloggers get I imagine. This sort of ugliness is almost always effective because people averse to entertaining such dialogue instantly shut down---if only temporarily. This has definitely happened to me in the past.

But the point of this commentary now, is that the pro-RH position has taken a really bad turn for the worse. First, as we all know, the company flew in an award winning social commentator/journalist from The National to have a look at the project and report on the RH arguments against Greenpeace coming into the area.

Dutifully, and as many of us learned on repeated FB [feedback] posts thereafter, we learned that this person has mouths to feed, he is a single parent, and must dance to the tune of his employers, and so forth. Besides, he has also said firmly, RH is the only entity offering ‘development’ to these wretched ‘taim bipo’ village

Today [Saturday] things got a lot uglier.  Lydia Kaliap, who, with her husband, runs a music and arts academy for settlement kinds in Port Moresby (an initiative that, not surprisingly, has won admirers from home and abroad, government and media alike---as a true example of what an NGO can do to make positive change)—has been on FB ‘sharing’ and commenting and calling out The National for its bias reporting the Pomio crisis.

As Lydia revealed today, the first day she began to FB her opinions, she received the following email:

And there is more, much more.

Nancy, bravely and with great dignity, has exposed the sordid underside of a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude on the part of … someone.  Someone who targets opponents of Rimbunan Hijau.  Lydia has maintained a stoic silence.

The internet is well known for its “trolls”, people of little worth and shrivelled egos who adopt slander, intimidation and obscenity as instruments of abuse and coercion.

The least that Rimbunan Hijau and The National can do is to dissociate themselves from such tactics by unambiguously condemning them.  I ask PNG Attitude readers to keep an eye on The National to see that, as a newspaper of honour, it will do this.

The PNG government should also be instructing its Police Commissioner to investigate the threats, the obscenity and the slander.
Papua New Guinea does not need such wanton ugliness in its public discourse.

GREAT LADY SPEAKS OUT

This has been a very difficult blow to withstand because it comes from a deeply hidden (yet very clear) source.

It is an all out attack on freedom of speech, an attack on the sanctity of love and marriage, an attack on the very heart of decency.

I know in my heart who it came from, whether I will ever be able to prove it remains to be seen as I myself have a very basic knowledge and understanding of Information Technology.

People who know about this technology are trying to trace it all the way to the cyber troll.

It came from a Papua New Guinean whose values have been twisted and corrupted; a person who will call others "traitor" when it is themself who is a traitor to their own nation and their own people.

You know who you are and you are reading this. I feel great pity for you because you have sold your soul to a corporate devil for financial security.

[Please ask Malum Nalu who works for The National in support of the illegal logging program of Rimbunan Hijau. He may know who the person is. AH.]

In doing so you have sold your own nation and your own people and your own children and grandchildren.

Even if you get away with this and are not found and punished for your horrific actions; you will never again experience true freedom and will be your own judge.

My family and I will recover from this nasty episode, but you and yours will live with the curse of it for ever.

Thanks to all of the wonderful people who are a part of our life, Peter and I will take courage in the support of genuine people and get on with what we have always promised to do.

I'm well aware of the problems that Mr Copeland has had with PNG Attitude and many others but can assure you that this is NOT his doing.

His identity and mailing list and reputation has been used as a front for this other deranged person.

Well I dunno about the fancy tools the police have at their disposal, but with an unedited copy of the original email you could trace the ip address and narrow things down a bit.

A network trace on brucecopeland65@gmail.com shows that this is not an authentic address - it is spoofed (ie. not a real account)

According to Network Tools "The email account that you tried to reach does not exist".

Explanation - you can edit the headers on an email to make it seem like it comes from someone completely different, or a fake account.

But there are ways of tracing the origin that can get around this - which police and forensic IT investigators can use.

POLICY IN PREVENTATIVE HEALTH

The new Minister for Health Hon Jamie Maxtone-Graham MP has announced a new policy of preventive health for the nation rather than a policy of seeking cures for diseases.

We have been reading his column in the Post Courier for over 3 years now. The basics of preventive health are there for all to see and based on nutrition and hygiene.

There will be more focus on fruit and vegetables, less on lamb flaps and chewing buai and less on factory processed food from the supermarket.

There would be more reticulated water to villages, improved sanitation in all villages, less toxic pollution in rivers and sea, more need for clean unpolluted fish in rivers and sea and removal of the conditions that breed cholera.

There would be greater focus on cultivation of fruits, vegetables, grains and nuts, more planting of the best varieties of oranges, stone fruit and apples in the colder climate of the highlands, more focus on plant security and caring for livestock.

There would need to be removal of the cultivation of marijuana and production of homebrew. The community should be aware of the damage to health and the onset of brain damage.

There would be a greater awareness of lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, HIV/AIDS and infection with coccidian gut parasites.

Rice producers would need to place more emphasis on production of brown rice and the community to have greater awareness of health benefits.

Greater emphasis should be placed on family health and the importance of peace, love and respect.

WAS THE YOUNG GIRL MOLESTED?

Here is a puzzle to consider. It is a story based on fact. A young 5 year old girl was diagnosed HIV positive.  She had been infected for 3 years. Mother, father and baby daughter were also diagnosed HIV positive.

The child was not born HIV positive. The mother became infected during the pregnancy with her baby. How did the young girl become infected?

It is obvious. She had been molested by her father or another infected person. That may be true. But there is another obvious reason.

The mother was breast feeding her baby but her first child was only 3 years old. She wanted to be breast fed too. But the first child had a cold and was cutting her first teeth.

She was given HIV infected milk by the mother and the virus was transmitted through the inflamed gums and infections in her throat.

The mother should have been on antiretroviral drugs for the second child from the point of diagnosis during early pregnancy. Then it is possible that neither child would have been infected.

GUT ATTACK SLOWS AS PATIENT DIES

Let us get one thing straight. The HIV does not really attack the CD4 cells. It does and it does not. As the HIV floats in the lymph and blood, it is as harmless as a bunch of leaves floating in a storm drain.

The HIV is present in relatively small numbers in early infection. It is like a herd of sheep that builds up month by month as it replicates in the CD4.

The immune system is finely tuned. The motley bunch of white cells will identify, memorize, capture, shepherd and engulf.  The HIV is herded down to the CD4 in the gut lining.

There are two types of CD4 cells. There are those that float freely in the blood and lymph and those attached to the mucosal layer of the anus, mouth, penis and vagina. The major accumulation of CD4 cells is in the gut lining to protect the body from infection from the gut bacteria.

HIV does not attack but is engulfed by CD4 where the HIV replicates as a retrovirus. The white blood cells are like sheep dogs that herd the sheep into their pens.

By some wondrous process, the white cells shepherd the HIV to the gut CD4 imbedded in millions in the gut lining. The report below is our favourite. Many other reports on Google make the same basic explanation.

When the HIV replication is complete, the new HIV cells break out of the CD4 cells, leaving dead shells in the gut lining.

The body still has enough protein absorption to replace the dead CD4 perhaps for a number of years as long as the patient is eating protein that can be absorbed through the gut wall.

But as the gut lining is slowly being destroyed, the gut attack slows down as the numbers of CD4 cells are reduced.  The sufferer loses the capacity to absorb nutrients, water and salts. Then the person dies under a massive load of suffocation, infection and starvation.

The process of destruction will be stopped by timely treatment with antiretroviral drugs, sooner rather than later.

The damage to the brain upsets the hormone production and the water-salt balance that is regulated through the pituitary gland. Dementia is an unavoidable consequence. The body systems are all inter-related.

RESEARCHERS PLEASE READ

Over the last 8 years, AIDS Holistics has raised an issue on website that has been greeted with scorn by opponents.

The question arises for researchers as to whether or not a woman can protect herself from HIV infection by douching her vagina with water.

The question arises for researchers as to how long it takes for an HIV particle in the vagina to be engulfed by a mucosa cell. The study of embryology tells us that the main concentration of mucosa cells in a woman is on the cervix.

If it takes only several minutes, there may be time for a woman to clean out her vagina in a mountain river or the sea. Or by water in a soft plastic coca-cola bottle with a hole in the lid. Or by garden hose.

We only have the right to scorn when we know that this will not work.

This is not to be scorned. Women in the rural areas of developing countries may not be able to get to a health centre in time for ARV treatment for rape. Her salvation may be in the local river or sea.

The most vicious attack came from former friend Keith Jackson of PNG Attitude. But then he had a gay and lesbian agenda in supporting Australian gay advisors. He has been a leader in the hate mail.

Dr Malau has been opposing the Positive Living message for almost 10 years in support of his gay and lesbian friends in what Jackson calls Melbourne's prestigious Burnett Institute.

Now Copeland attacks PNG’s head of health

SELF-PROCLAIMED HIV/AIDS guru, email spammer, reputation trasher and PNG visa overstayer Bruce Copeland is up to his old tricks.

You’d think a person in his precarious position would be pulling his head in instead of lashing out with defamatory abuse at people who are working hard for PNG and ought to be treated with some respect.

But Copeland is nothing if not reckless, so, while PNG authorities contemplate taking action against him and legal proceedings for defamation against him personally are looming in Australia, he continues to harangue an unwilling collection of people with obnoxious emails they don’t want and don’t deserve to get.

He also continues to promulgate arrant nonsense containing his own loopy and potentially harmful ‘remedies’ for fighting AIDS – forcing a strong  jet of water into the vagina being one of them.

Having trashed his way through the scientists and doctors of Melbourne’s prestigious Burnet Institute (Australia's largest virology and communicable disease research organisation), Copeland has now turned his unwanted attention to PNG’s Secretary for Health, Clement Malau.

Dr Malau had the audacity to tell Copeland, who has no medical training: “Please take me off this email list. I have so much to do in the health sector and cannot possibly read the MAD and ABSURD statements…”
