I have spent a lifetime protecting the rights of women and girls - as a teacher in schools in Australia and Papua New Guinea, as an army officer in the ADF and PNGDF, president of a church parish council and key advocate in the Positive Living campaign in PNG.
I reject accusations of AusAID and UN scumbags that I was abusive and violent to women and girls. They gave the idea to Malum Nalu who thought he was on a winner. Assassinating my character would make him a hero among the scumbags so he thought. FAIL
I am getting old and have taken a long time to work out the step by step drama in the hate campaign of Malum Nalu in support of Rimbunan Hijau logging and against AIDS Holistics.
Malum Nalu had been bullying two expatriate anti-logging activists Lydia Kailap and Nancy Sullivan. He went to Pomio and made a mess of his investigation and response in support of logging.
Nancy Sullivan (dec) posted a report on internet which set out the foolish goings on of Nalu. He must have been worried. So he decided to shed his bully approach and take on a Knight in Shining Armour persona.
He decided to 'protect' Kailap and Sullivan from being intimidated and harrassed. How to do that? He would send them hateful emails under the fake address brucecopeland65@gmail.com.
Then he sent the filthy emails to advise all addressees on my website aholistics@hotmail.com. He would tell all that he is defending Kailap, Sullivan and others from Copeland. The other women were fantasy. Haha.
No email was sent to Copeland, Kailap and Sullivan who would soon debunk his words. We did not know what was going on for months.
Many people on my addressee list sent emails telling me to take them off my filthy website. I had no idea why.
But Kailap and Sullivan found out what was going on before me. Lydia posted a blog on PNG Attitude advising all that Copeland was NOT involved. His reputation and addressee list had been stolen by a deranged person pretending to be Copeland.
Nalu did not think out his strategy very well. He said that Kailap and Sullivan had contacted him about that awful Copeland who told one of them she was a black cock whore.
Nalu did not want people to know he had been fighting them over unlawful logging at Pomio. Tricky little nigger. They would never ask his help.
He was sacked by The National. We can fool some people only some of the time.
If I ever meet Lydia and Peter Kailap, we will come together as friends who once faced the hatred of a mentally ill cyber troll. His children will come to know what their father had done and be ashamed.
For the last year or two there have been reports of Special Air Services (SAS) killing innocent Afghani people.
The issue is now coming to a head with reports of 39 civilians murdered by Australian soldiers at the order of their commander as "blood letting".
The Head of the Australian Defence Force General Angus Campbell expressed sincere apology at the crime of the elite force of Australian soldiers.
As a former service officer, I support his view of the stain on the Australian service record.
For several years, I was involved with the SAS but not in an operational sense. This was the time of the Bougainville conflict. Australia was standing by to give support.
I am not telling stories out of school as I used to conduct Tok Pisin training for the SAS at the RAAF School of Languages and in their base in Western Australia. I worked with a succession of PNGDF officers.
During that time, I trained about 300 SAS soldiers in Tok Pisin and familiarized them with the culture of PNG and issues related to Bougainville. It was a balanced explanation with no good or bad.
At one stage they were taken by C-130 aircraft to Tokua airport to spend time with villagers in the area. They were becoming comfortable with PNG.
The SAS Commanding Officer later retired to become a Christian evangelist. He had an impact on the SAS regiment.
If deployed to Bougainville, I hope that they would help bring peace and security to the villagers. They would defend against excesses of Sandline if they were on the ground.
Why did this not happen in Afghanistan? This country was a nation alien to Australians. There have been civilians and Afghani soldiers who have killed Australian soldiers.
The villagers would be unknown to the SAS who were unable to speak the language. The religion was alien.
The response of the Australian Defence Force will have a profound impact on the SAS particularly the young soldiers. They are not free to do as they like. Australia should have shame but be pleased that such killing is opened to the media.
There has to be more direct command by the officers in keeping the senior non-commissioned officers in line. The patrols of SAS soldiers are in the hands of non-commissioned officers.
The Taliban and Al-Qaeda do worse than that but this is no justification for the Australian killings.
Those of us who were adult during the Vietnam War will never forget the massacre of villagers of Mi Lai at the hands of Lt Calley. I hope he is now an old man and ashamed.
I am sad to report that most if not all members of parliament in Papua New Guinea share a common trait.
As their pictures in the media and TV are showing, we cannot help notice that they are obese or FAT.
It means that they eat fatty foods in the parliamentary restaurant with no fruit and vegetables, do little exercise and drink beer.
Perhaps it is time for the parliament to do a survey of the foods provided in the parliamentary restaurant.
Perhaps exercise should be on the weekly agenda for all members. Early deaths in this country are becoming quite common. Too many people are dying in their 40s and 50s.
We need to appreciate the long lives of the early members of parliament who are reaching a sprightly 80 years.
