Prime Minister Peter O’Neill has stated that he will
not accept same sex marriage as it is not part of Papua New Guinea culture.
He will not judge gays and lesbians as that will be a
matter for God’s judgment. He will stand behind the Christian principles
enshrined in the Constitution.
He said that man and woman have a place to produce
children and to raise them in a family. Same sex marriage is not part of this.
Family is created by God.
Cathy Mui President of the Lutheran church national
women’s movement said that same sex marriage did not
reflect biblical and moral principles.
Comment: Now there has been a Government supported paradigm shift to loving families and the responsibilities of men and boys.
When is the media campaign going to start to promote loving marriages, children with high esteem and loyalty between husband and wife? Negative blame campaigns achieve very little.
Mr O'Neill like the Russian president Mr Putin has to distinguish between gays/lesbians and paedophiles. For several months after the Duma legislation banning homosexual propaganda to minors, Mr Putin spoke publicly only about gays and lesbians not paedophiles.
Gays and lesbians wanted to ban the winter olympics. But they were intimidated by the thought of arrest and time spent in a Russian prison. Remember?
Papua New Guinea has many foreign and national paedophile child molesters. It is not homophobic to condemn paedophiles as they are criminals.
Paedophiles in the USA can be sent to prison for 35 years with no hope of parole. Many gays and lesbians are paedophile in disguise. Foolish Governments have set the wolves among the kids and given them rights.
There are millions of paedophiles in the world. Most have escaped detection by police forces and parole officers. Heterosexual fathers and husbands have a negligible role by comparison.
