For years now there has been an ongoing hatred from foreign UN lesbians against men said to be abusing wives and daughters in Papua New Guinea. This is only partly true.

For years now there has been an ongoing hatred from foreign UN lesbians against men said to be abusing wives and daughters in Papua New Guinea. This is only partly true.
But today in The National, there has been a paradigm shift towards violence against married women at the hands of the in-law sisters and mothers-in-law accusing them of sorcery in making their husbands love and consult them. This is the primitive bush kanaka style.
Female relatives out of envy, accuse wives of using magic to gain confidence of husbands seen to be neglecting community obligations or failing to repay past favours. Loving husbands are not loving husbands any more but victims of their wife's sorcery.
A number of women are accused of practising malala to make their husbands love, respect them and discuss important decisions with them. Recently a woman had her hand chopped off as she fought back her in-laws.
The new trend affects women's rights in the home, the very place where she is supposed to be loved and cared for. The husband's sisters and mother usually instigate the whole problem.
Mothers, daughters, sisters are being attacked tortured and raped for practising malala by mothers-in-law and sisters -in-law. It affects women in the cities and rural areas.

At least the Family Sexual Violence Unit (FSVU) has stopped betraying men. In the above article they make the point that female relatives often instigate the accusations.
Perhaps men bash their wife to protect her against accusations of sorcery.
