GAY SEX IN MOSLEM COUNTRIES

The human race is susceptible to temptation. We read in Scripture of the temptation of Adam and Eve as offered by the serpent.

Scholars differ but some see the fall of Adam and Eve as an allegory that is reflected in the lives of us all.

People want what is not allowed. In the prohibition days of 1930s America, people drank home brewed liquor. Banning of marijuana and heroin only increases the desire to consume.

We see the enforced sexual abstinance of Catholic priests reflected in a probable long history of paedophilia.

Soldiers in armies and prisoners in gaols are involved in same sex relations. Sexuality is expressed in times of stress in terms of people available.

In the Moslem world, there are strict limits placed on interaction of men and women. This will not necessarily produce a pure society, human nature being what it is. It can provide a fertile ground for the gay and lesbian lifestyle.

Proof lies in the increasing incidence of HIV/AIDS in some Moslem countries:

There may be considerable pressure on those suffering HIV infection in Moslem countries. The response has to be largely Moslem. HIV/AIDS can open the door to foreign gays and lesbians with a message of rights with no responsibilities.

We all face the same temptations. Both the Bible and Koran deal with temptation and sin.

Self-discipline of Christian faith can lead to commitment in many and temptation in others. Discipline of Islam supported by Sharia law can lead to commitment in many with temptation and sin driven under ground.

There are good people in all cultures who can be of help with the AIDS pandemic.
