ELDERLY, DIABETES 2 AND OBESITY

For several weeks, this blog has raised the issue of coronavirus and fat. Last week there was a report on BBC of an elderly lady asked if she was afraid of coronavirus.

She replied that she was terrified. She said she was elderly, diabetic and obese. All of these would combine to kill her. It may explain the deaths in nursing homes. Do the elderly people live on a diet of fruit and vegetables?

It may be that the medical authorities of the world are afraid to talk about obesity. Media reports have been telling us for years about the growing obesity in the developed world

So many of these people will die from coronavirus the result of trigliceride fat that is blood fat and opens the door to diabetes 2 and blood pressure.

To raise the issue of fat, the medical authorities will be addressing a high percentage of the population of the developed world. The virus is upon us and it may be too late to commence dieting to reduce fat.

There still may be time to commence eating fruit and vegetables, less sugar and salt, less creamy milk, less fat on chicken and animal meat with more exercise. Ten kilograms lost in a month may make all the difference.

Nutrition has been an important part of Positive Living with HIV/AIDS. Now we are facing the importance of a strong immune system to protect us from coronvirus.

The foreign activists in PNG condemned all this with HIV/AIDS saying that fruit and vegetables and Positive Living killed people. They should be ashamed. Fruit and vegetables are the key to a strong immune system..

People in the developing world may have greater reliance on garden food than processed food from overseas. But many people in PNG still rely on white rice and tinned fish.

They may be the first to die of coronavirus. The funeral notices in PNG are full of fat people.
