UN Women undoubtedly consist of inexperienced young women who know very little of parliamentary process and naively think they can prepare young inexperienced women to stand for parliament with little experience in national affairs.
They choose single women who would not inspire respect among the older male politicians. Nor would they inspire the men and women voters.
The UN Women do not understand that a successful politician requires the positive support of family. Take Lady Veronica Somare who was undoubtedly the right arm of her husband and strong right arm for her children who have succeeded in their adulthood.
All successful women leaders in the world have a man to be their strength. It is not a matter of men thinking that women are intellectually inferior. Successful men often have strong wives at their side.
Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher ruled the British political stage for many years, supported by a quiet and gentle husband Dennis.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth became monarch for the British Commonwealth at 23 years. But she had a strong husband the Duke of Edinburgh who holds the record as the longest serving consort.
There are two female premiers in Australia who hold authority in Queensland and New South Wales.
In Papua New Guinea, there were two women who took up the reins when their husbands died. They were Dame Carol Kidu and Ms Nahau Rooney who raised strong families as well.
It takes a strong family to support female and male politicians.
