We saw the violence in the streets and the aftermath of young people being bashed unconscious and dying.

One hidden agenda of Australian gay and lesbian advisors was to tell PNG kids about their rights. They have spread the story around the teenage community.

Their parents do not have the right to stop them from going to nightclubs.

Did they want the PNG kids to take to the streets and drink and fight in nightclubs as they do in Australia?

Thank God that the Australian homosexual lobby has gone. Take over, churches and youth groups.

The gay and lesbian lobby does not recognise family or fathers and husbands.

Never forget the time that the singing group Makoma came to Port Moresby under invitation of AusAID.

They planned to hold concerts in.....churches? No. Youth centres? No. Schools? No.

The plan was to hold the concerts for the kids in nightclubs. Remember the AusAID media advisor telling the community that it was OK to hold concerts in nightclubs.

That was the Fijian Lisapeci Morvono. Jesus preached in nightclubs, so she said. That was the start of underaged children going to nightclubs today. Mission success.

They started a message that the AIDS campaign was succeeding as the infection rate was dropping. But that was because people were not going for testing. Who wrote the report that appeared in the Australian media?

A decade ago, the advice was that mothers with a low viral count would probably not give the virus to the baby in the womb. It was hit and miss.

Now there is no doubt that the baby can be safe and that a mother can fall pregnant again with safety. But she has to take the ARV regularly as required.

Fighting the scourge of babies born with HIV/AIDS

She sets out the new scene for mothers and babies protected by ARV treatment.

Anna needs to focus on the need for the mother to take the ARV drugs as required. It is important to know the reasons why.

The ARV kills the virus in the mother's blood, blocking the attack on the gut lining.

The viral load of the mother drops to zero thus protecting the unborn baby in the womb and at birth.

Anna also needs to talk about the dangers of a breast-feeding HIV mother smoking, particularly those not on ARV.

The tars and poisons of the cigarette smoke finds a way into the breast milk and infects the throat and chest of the baby providing an entry for the HIV in the breast milk.

My son was born HIV positive. He lived for 2 1/2 years. I am haunted still by hearing him with a nose and throat full of mucus every day and night. His mother died one year after he did.

NATIONAL FISHERIES AUTHORITY ON MINING

There has been a statement from Mr Sylvester Pokajam Director of the National Fisheries Authority.

He says that the area of the Bismarck Sea where the first commercial deep sea mining will occur is a highly productive fishing ground.

He posed questions on the impact of undersea mining on the marine life, especially tuna.

Mr Pokajam said PNG should have waited until all the sea laws and policies were in place.  He said we should not tamper with the natural habitat.

He said that in addition to tuna, the Economic Exclusion Zone is one of the most productive in the world.

INACCURATE ADVICE ON NAUTILUS MINING

But these have to be seen in the context of the pollution of the Ramu and Sepik Rivers and the pollution from deep sea waste disposal by Ramu NiCo.

The story of the fish starts in the fish nurseries of these rivers.

PANGUNA UNDER THE BISMARCK SEA

The PNG nation is being led up the garden path on undersea mining. It will be nothing like the newspapers report.

In the media we see a ship on a blue sea that has sent down an escavator device that nibbles away at the sea bed.

It will be nothing like that. It will become a Panguna under the sea. The mining will follow the mineral reefs around the Bismarck Sea.

There will be huge undersea explosions just like at Panguna. The yellow fin tuna and other fish will be massively disturbed and killed.

We are being led to think that the substratum will be removed with a small excavator about the size of a truck. Giaman.

It may be that the mining lease will be for a hundred square kilometers. It will mine the tuna rich Magadus Square.

The sea will not be azure blue. In the mining operations that will go day and night forever, the sea will be black.

Offal and waste will go straight back into the sea. But waste can not be dumped in the mining area but will be piped far away.

We saw the trucks that served the Panguna mine. There will not be undersea trucks. But we are not to be told that there may be a dozen ships mining over the Bismarck Sea.

Will the smelting and refining take place on the high seas? Surely we have not seen the smelter ship in the picturesque publicity advertisements of Nautilus Solwara 1.

This country is about to be raped. The mining operation may not produce a Panguna under-the-sea but it will go close. It will follow the mineral deposits around the Bismarck Sea.

INACCURATE ADVICE ON NAUTILUS MINING

I feel the necessity to respond to a letter to the editor of the Post Courier entitled Fishing will not be affected. It was written by Mel Togolo Country Manager Nautilus Minerals.

You might note that the words false report have not been used because of my respect for Mr Togolo.

He was the only person ever to give a large donation to AIDS Holistics out of his own pocket when he worked for another mining company.

He has written that there will be no harm to fishing as the site is 30 kms from the coast line. He writes of the distance from coral reefs.

The objection is about damage to the blue water fish. The young tuna rely on the nutrients from the Sepik and Ramu Rivers.

There is a massive possible damage to be done to the Magadus Square and coast line from the mining up the Ramu and Sepik Rivers, Ramu Nico deep water waste disposal and the Nautilus deep sea mining.

There has been such a fuss over the Ramu Nico waste that we neglect to note that Marengo is a gold mine that will pour poisonous waste into the Ramu River.

It is not well known that Panguna mined gold which explained the poisons in the Jaba River. The gold was secretly shipped out.

Noah Musingku the pyramid shyster claimed to have taken control of the barrels of gold as the basis of his new Bougainville kingdom.

Independent reports refer to a locked room of barrels of gold scraped from the machine rollers crushing the copper ore.

Then there is the mining up the Frieda River. All rivers in the Sepik province flow to the sea. Poisons will end up in the Sepik regardless of the much publicized solid land fill.

Then there is the open sea mining of Nautilus. If gold is mined, there will be poison flowing directly into the sea. Will the refining be done at sea? It will never be monitored.

Within 10 to 50 years, the sea off the Sepik coast will be degraded. The tuna industry will have died 20 years before when the EU identified pollutants in the tissues of tuna caught.

But in recent days, there has been a superb debate on Christianity inspired by a rather negative report by Leonard Roka who we believe works at the Divine Word University.

These writers both expatriate and Papua New Guinea nationals have shown depth of understanding of the early church and translations from Aramaic into Greek.

We are reminded of the meaning of Agape love.

There has been mention of the value of Scripture as guidelines for living starting with the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
