Mondo Food Bar in
Kokopo attracts many customers by offering cooked vegetables fresh from the
garden to customers.
The owner Eric Kua says that
people are dying of lifestyle diseases such as diabetes two and obesity because
they are not careful about what they eat. He said that many people ate mainly junk
food from fast food outlets,
He said that people
must have a daily diet of fruit, vegetables and grains.
Comment: If we
go to a food bar, we regularly see Papua New Guinea men and women eating a meal
of vegetables with greens
including broccoli and drinking a bottle of water but not soft drink. Perhaps they are not
the ones who die in their 30s to 50s.
If we examine the
photos of men and women in the media funeral notices, we find that many are in
their 30s to 50s and fat.
