God is out. Gay is in.
A US judge ordered a Kentucky official jailed for contempt of
court after repeatedly refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples.
Kim Davis has said that her Christian faith should exempt her
from signing licenses. The US Supreme Court declared gay marriage legal in
June.
US judge David Bunning said he had no alternative but to jail
her because fines would not change her mind. Her good faith is not a viable defence.
Ms Davis took an oath. Oaths mean things. He said that
allowing one’s personal beliefs to supersede the authority of the Court would
be a dangerous example to set.
She said she had no animosity to anyone and harbour no ill
will. To me this has never been a gay or lesbian issue. It is about marriage
and God’s word.
Comment: There was a time when the US
Government had the motto “In God we trust”. But over the last 30 years, there
has been activist pressure to remove faith from secular life and from secular schools.
Schools were not to pray and conduct religious instruction.
There was a division between faith and the state.
The original intention was to
give freedom to those Americans who fled religious persecution in Europe.
But now the importance of faith is gone from US schools and
will be replaced by a gay and lesbian agenda. The nation has been neatly
tricked.
Single sex marriage is in. Traditional church marriage cannot
be talked about in secular schools. It is against the constitution. What a con
trick.
Once the Catholic Church has no more priests, there will be a
takeover bid by lay gays, lesbians and paedophiles. They will make sure that
homosexual sex is deleted from faith.
