MAGDA SZUBANSKI: AGONY OF A FATHER

The blog report on your life below is doing very well. It adds a human picture to the gay and lesbian issue with your focus on FAMILY

I feel sorry for your Polish father who went through the war as a member of an assassination squad in Warsaw.

You give hints throughout the book. You tell of the invasion of the Nazis who killed one in four Polish citizens and 2 million Jews. Your father was an assassin at 15 years old before escaping to Ireland. He killed Polish men, women and children who squealed on Jews.

Then you tell of him crying at night in his home in Australia that " I am guilty. I am so guilty". Later in the book we read that people squealed on Jews when tortured by the Nazis.

So some Poles were tortured by Nazis and squealed on Jews. Then they were murdered by the assassination squad. They were born losers.

I hope your father found peace together with Poles and Jews killed by the Germans and survivors killed by the assassination squad. Mistakes would have been made. How could the assassination squad kill innocent children?
