The Government pointed out that the electoral rolls were far from complete. There would be popular candidates all over who failed to be elected as most of their supporters were not on the electoral roll.
And so it came to pass that the people cried that this was a denial of rights. Now the Government has deferred the deferral and given a month. The Electoral Commission does not even have the time to scratch themselves with the deferral for one month. Updating the rolls is a major job.

The election will go forward and there will be many voters and candidates who miss out because their names were not on the electoral roll. And the people will cry that this is a denial of rights.
As film actor John Wayne would say yer can't win in politics, pilgrim. It is best to get it right the first time. Then everyone is happy.
