History has been made in Papua New Guinea with the election of three women to parliament Delilah Gore, Loujaya Toni and Julie Soso.
They would have been voted for by men and women.
This marks an important point in history of this country. Up to now, the nation has become used to women and men not voting for women with a few exceptions.
Perhaps there was a grain of compassion for women in the disappointment over the 22 reserved seats.
But these women were selected by the electorate on the basis of their track record in community affairs. They will represent women, girls, men and boys.
Each woman has a marriage and family background with faith. May they represent the affairs of women and girls of the country.
Let them be aware that the UN and AusAID women may well represent foreign lesbians and a foreign homosexual agenda.
Let us hope that one of the Members becomes Minister for Community Development.
She should be aware of covert activity of the UN to infiltrate the Marriage Act Committee with gay supporting clergy if there are any.
Same sex marriage and adoption of children will be the high points on the UN and AusAID gay and lesbian agenda.
The new politicians may be the beginning of the new chapter of empowerment of women.
They are supported at high levels with high level women and at grassroots by family women and girls.
Good men will support them too. Contrary to advice of foreign lesbians, there would be hundreds of thousands of them.
STOP PRESS: Reported in the media that MP Loujaya Toni is to be Minister for religion, youth and community development. That is a good combination.
Welfare officers are part of the PNG Government power base.
MP Delilah Gore has advised she will be working closely with Oro Governor Garry Juffa and party colleague MP David Agore to develop Northern Province.
She spoke of team work and coordination for effective service delivery.
Life is looking up for the people of Oro. Let us hope that the nation realizes that a woman MP in every provincial parliamentary team is just what is needed to oil the wheels of development.
