We read in the PNG media the reports of children being
abused, raped and molested. Today in The National is a report on abuse in the
homes and rape of a young girl of 12 years old.
Men who carry out such offences are foolish for many reasons,
a primary reason being that they have spoiled a girl, a family and their place in the
family. They will go to gaol and be punished by family during their sentence and on their release. Family may not visit them in gaol nor bring food.
Case study 1: A man was sentenced to prison about 8 years ago for
sexually penetrating his 9 year old son !! He would be still in prison while
his son is growing to be a man.
The son will remember why his father is in gaol and may not
yet have forgiven him. He may punish the father on his release from prison. He may never visit him in gaol. It
may be safer for the father to live somewhere else.
Case study 2: A family was sitting
on a beach near the village about 5 years ago. An uncle wanted to go back to
his house and was asked by his brother to take a small daughter back.
He put her on his shoulders and walked along the track to the
village in the dark. On the way back, he went into the bushes, removed her
clothes and penetrated her. He took her to the mother but could not stop the
bleeding.
The parents reported to the police and the uncle has spent
several years in gaol. He will not be trusted by the family and should live
elsewhere.
Case Study 3: I have a young
brother who is married with 3 daughters. They were friendly and happy kids and
always treated me as their favourite uncle. When they came to visit, I would
treat them like special nieces.
One day they came for a visit and would not come anywhere
near me. I was puzzled and worried. Did I do something wrong?
I asked their mother later in the afternoon. She said it was
not my fault. She had told the children not to go near men which sadly included
me.
Some weeks before, they had stayed with her uncle. Late in
the night she went to the eldest daughter’s bed to find the uncle was with her
and removed her clothes.
He defended himself by saying he came to turn the light off
and she put her arms out to him. He said she was just begging for sex.
Seven year old girls do not beg for sex. She was probably
asking for a hug from her great-uncle. That was many years ago. It may be that the
family had not visited the uncle during that time. He was lucky they did not
contact the police.
He had spoiled family relationships. As a teenager, the young
girl took up kick boxing. There may have been a link.
And yet the world paedophiles say they have the right to sex
with children. The rise in child abuse in the world has everything to do with

Paedophiles now think that they have rights and look to UNAIDS for leadership. Kids have no rights just anuses to tear and rip.
