It is hard to imagine anything worse than purposely causing a child to suffer sometimes to the point of death. Yet it is an everyday story in this world.
It is part of human nature that people will often be secretive and tight-lipped about sexual offences involving their immediate and extended families.
Crimes such as rape, incest and child abuse will often remain a family secret tucked away in the dark corners of people's minds.
It is because of the fear of breaking up a family unit or losing the breadwinner.
Police and relevant authorities have been calling on parents and guardians to be mindful of where and who they leave their children with.
Sexual crimes strangle families and affects the communities they live in.
Comment: There has been a recent media report of a grandfather accused of molesting his 15 year old grand-daughter and making her pregnant. The girl was put in a Seif Haus.
He was reported by family and arrested by police. Now the family has withdrawn the complaint. It is possible that there has been family pressure put on the parents.
If this grand-father is guilty, he is now a dog-brain running on a short leash. He will end up the loser within the family.
