The spraying of agent orange in Vietnam has caused permanent health defects with descendants to suffer from heart defects and cancer from generation to generation to come.
One village area still suffers from a large spill of herbicide at a US - Australian air force base. The poison has long ago seeped into the ground water to linger and deform forever.
Deformities of descendants still go on. Are Australia and the USA helping Vietnam with medical support? Or is this just seen as a hazard of war?
Killings in Afghanistan are a blot on Australia's military record. But there is not the eternity of deformities as in Vietnam.

I know a family in Victoria Australia with the husband and father as a veteran from Vietnam. He was infected with Agent Orange and has 5 children with heart problems and the youngest with severe cerebral palsy.
Why does Australia not help Afghanistan with treatment for COVID 19? Seek peace with the Taliban. Let the nation say sorry.
