Pornography is a major threat to marriage, family, children and individual happiness. Director of Family Missions to the Papua New Guinea Union Mission Pastor Simeon Nara says that pornography is becoming a major issue.

Many individuals consider pornography as a neutral entertainment with little or no negative influence.

Pornography significantly impacts the user, as well as family, work place and community. Most negative effects were found in couple relationships.

Married men feel less satisfied with their conjugal relationships. It is a pathway that could lead to infidelity and divorce. Pornography leads to a loss of interest in good family relationships.

Pornography increases negative attitudes towards women as objects existing for male sexual pleasure. It leads to early experimentation by young people.
