We have visited several markets in Port Moresby over recent months. The top venues are Gordons, Malaoro, Koki and Waigani markets.
But by far the best market is at Waigani. It is well organized into sections for fruit and vegetables, fish and clothes.
The main area has rows upon rows of concrete tables and seats for vendors. Each table has an area for storage of empty bags, sleeping children and surplus bags of goods. The floor in the main pavilion is tiled.
Vendors are mainly women who sit quietly behind their fruit and vegetables arrayed on clean matting on each table.
The markets of Port Moresby have suffered from a hate campaign at the hands of UN Women who have painted a grossly false picture of men in the market.
The markets are an easy target controlled only by the Governor. He has already been conned into being the keynote speaker at the UN Women's open air meeting at Gordons market after the market rape hoax.
They failed to gain a foothold into the Department for Community Development to push the gay and lesbian sex decriminalization. They are having problems.
They want to find a project that enables the UN lesbians to retire each night to their luxury apartment perhaps with a young girl.

If they go out into the highlands villagers on sorcery killing or domestic violence, they might just have their arms cut off with a bush knife (machete). So the markets are perfect.
There is limited violence in the markets. So they can fake the statistics and then falsely claim a year later that the violence has dropped. And go home to their luxury apartments.
Media announcement: "The violence in the Port Moresby markets has dropped 86.2% since the UN Women started their project."
Not true. The UN lesbians claimed it was 86.2% worse than it really was. There has been no change. Life goes on as normal.

It was going well until the Minister of Police and two senior officers announced that the entire scene was a hoax. Where does that leave the credibility of the UN?
