It was pleasing to read the report by Grace Auka Salmang on the importance of culture on the people of Papua New Guinea and the place of God in their lives.
She wrote of how families recently came together in a marriage. The pastor urged that they put God at the centre of the family. The couple was urged to always seek help from God with any problems in the family.
He likened the marriage as two rivers coming together with rough water at the start but becoming calm as time went on.
The father of the groom urged his son to bring up the children as a family unit under God.
Comment: Such a loving family would be strong under Positive Living. If my family in Australia lived under God, I would still be there.
We went to church and took part in all church activities but God played no part in my family.
