MALICIOUS AND DAMAGING INFORMATION

Papua New Guinea Government has announced by Mr Ben Micah of the Prime Minister's Department that action will be taken over 'malicious and damaging' information put over mobile phone, facebook or email. Those involved would be dealt with.

There has been protest from media organizations on the basis that this impinges upon rights of free speech and the right to have private conversations over the electronic media.

AIDS Holistics hopes that we will be protected from malicious and damaging information put out on Google making defamatory and baseless accusations against AIDS Holistics. Messages on Google are in the public domain.

We must not forget that recent hate mail came from a journalist defending the accusations of corruption levelled at Rimbunan Hijau, the parent company of The National.

An attack on Positive Living is an attack on the nation. The message has to be allowed to flow freely to help all people of Papua New Guinea and the Pacific.
