Grade 9 Personal Development course in Papua New Guinea requires weekly tests during each term with a final test at the end of term.
The following test is for week 6 that focuses on the work for that week as well as any work done badly in the previous test:
(1) Explain three rights and responsibilities for young people in a family.
(2) What is a role model? Describe a role model for you and explain reasons.
(3) List the characteristics of a loving family.
(4) Give 5 rights and responsibilities of a parent.
(5) List 5 questions a young girl should ask about any man she may marry.
This work is very much focused on the young people in a family. They have immediate benefit in assessing their own contribution to family. As well, they will have guidelines for their own marriage and parenting.
Most workshops run by overseas organizations are conducted over 3 days. This Personal Development program starts in primary school and goes into high school.
Students grow to being young girls and boys with a daily study of all aspects of growing to adulthood, family life, marriage and health. The school supports home and family.
Personal Development in schools stands alone in the nation. It gives all school students a long term insight into living a positive life.
Other nations please take note. The HIV/AIDS message is owned by Papua New Guinea not by foreign advisors.
