PATH TO A HEALTHY PACIFIC

Choose a variety of foods from 3 groups. Local food is best.

Eat plenty of fruit. It's great as a snack.

Include a generous serving of vegetables in 2 meals a day.

Eat less food high in fats, sugar and salts.

Drink plenty of clean water.

Be active every day. Walk more.

Wash hands thoroughly.

Keep food safe.

Avoid heavy drinking.

Exclusively breast feed for 6 months and then for 2 more years.

(A.H.)  HIV mothers should talk to Susu Mamas or a doctor.

They should be on ARV drugs from early pregnancy.

Take time to relax.

Spend time with family.
