HOLISTIC HEALTH IS THE WAY

The National 4 August 2011

In The National is a report from Mrs Andrea Niblett who is the wife of Dr John Niblett who is actively involved in cancer treatment at ANGAU hospital in Lae.

She reports on the incidence of cancer that is increasing among PNG people showing that the PG lifestyle is changing even from the days of independence in 1975.

That means that living has changed in the areas of exercise, diet including fruit and vegetables, drinking water. Too many PNG people are now eating factory processed food and food containing preservatives. They drink alcohol and soft drink instead of clean water.

They are becoming contaminated with industrial waste including the pollution from vehicle traffic. Rivers are becoming polluted from mining operations.

Mrs Niblett refers to holistic treatment of cancer patients. This would involve all the matters referred to above. She also refers to making the patients happy which means being at peace from worry about the well being of their loved ones. Holistic health involves family.

That is the basis of the AIDS Holistics message of Positive Living that includes:

Faith, hope, peace, love, family, friends, forgiveness, fellowship, kindness, patience, work, sleep, exercise, morning sun, clean water, hygiene, clean in body mind and soul, nutritious food, fresh, ripe uncooked fruit and vegetables AND FREEDOM FROM fear, stress, violence, shame, blame, infection, starvation, rejection, beer, homebrew, tobacco, marijuana and drugs.

There are people trying to tell the community that the Positive Living message is rubbish. That was their message 8 years ago and it has not changed.  They realize now that they have failed and that FAMILY is the key.

Their point of view flies in the face of all accepted medical knowledge. Positive Living does not belong to AIDS Holistics. It is a world message belonging to all cultures in all ages.

There has been a steady opposition to Positive Living from Australian advisors to the national HIV/AIDS response. The latest has come from gay advocate Keith Jackson who recently wrote on his blog PNG Attitude the following defamatory words:

The sooner the PNG government turfs out this man, so he can face the music in Australia, the better. PNG Attitude only hopes the ‘disciples’ that Copeland claims to have in PNG are, like much else in his world, total figments of his imagination.

Otherwise some innocent people are being subjected to a stream of absolute garbage about how to deal with HIV/AIDS which, if they give it credence, is likely to cause them harm.

It's also about time Copeland's Port Moresby-based internet service provider shut him out. That would be a responsible thing to do.

This man is an intruder to PNG who is seeking to support the gay and lesbian anti-family, anti-faith, anti-marriage agenda. AIDS Holistics has no disciples.

His words are false and intended to mislead the PNG people and to encourage them to reject the Positive Living message. This is a sinful act of a self-appointed false prophet.

The rest of us are all working to the same family Positive Living agenda. That is an agenda that appears in Scripture. It is the basis of all medical and psychological knowledge.
