SMOKING WEAKENS IMMUNE SYSTEM

There is a report from Dr Sonia Dadae of PNG Cancer Foundation that smoking weakens the immune system. 

This means that HIV infected people must not smoke even if on ART medication. Smoking will weaken the immune system and hasten the onset of AIDS and death.

She advised that we exercise regularly and eat healthy with organic food. By this she means fruit, vegetables, grains and nuts.

There used to be a view that people living with HIV are normal. That is not true. Regardless of ART medication, if they smoke, booze and default on ART, they are dead with a failed immune system. 

These people are as normal as their sickness will allow. They can still infect another person if their viral load is not zero. They need a medical test on viral load. They are not normal.
