Men Against Violence (MAV) is an initiative under the Family Sexual Violence Action Committee (FSVAC) under which the Alotau Family Counselling Services comes.
The existence of any form of violence especially family and sexual violence can only be effectively addressed if both men and women work together on these issues.
Although men are the main perpetrators of family and sexual violence, they also form a crucial part of the change that will be created in society.
Mr Edward Phillip confirms there are 38 members at strategic points in the province. Some of the advocacy programs include men’s sexual health and HIV/AIDS.
Comment: AIDS Holistics has always supported the role of men in promoting gender equity of women. But there is always opposition from the foreign lesbian advisors working for the UN and AusAID.
They want to address only women. Men are not to be part of the healing process. The lesbian activists want war between men and women so that the foreign advisors will be kept in employment.
Let us hope that more Men Against Violence will be recruited across the nation so that foreign lesbians will be unemployed.
Let Men against Violence address lesbian domestic violence against women as well. They are reported to be much more violent than heterosexual men. Lesbians hide that one.
