DANGER TO HIV SUFFERERS

There is a new message coming out that sufferers from HIV can have a drug holiday. This is playing with fire.

We have long urged these people to make sure there are no breaks in their drug treatment. They have to take care against delays caused by floods, landslides, tribal fights and road blocks.

Now we read that sufferers can take time off up to 21 days. We have to get further advice on this one.

The Government and overseas aid organizations have committed to a first line of drugs to be taken.

But if there is immunity to these drugs, the second line of drugs has to be paid for by the individual sufferer.

If fault lies with the Government, does this commit the Government to providing the second line of drugs?
