MEN TO BLAME......AS ALWAYS

We read in the media the words of Marie Bopp, head of the Pacific Islands AIDS Foundation speaking about the problems of women in the Pacific.

She regards herself as qualified to speak for women of Papua New Guinea. The blame as always is laid on the men in their violence and domination of women.

Marie has been very quiet over the last 7 years. She used to tell us she was HIV positive and has always been very negative to men and families. She is negative on all AIDS matters and can never see goodness among families.

But the picture she paints is false and out of date. Like all women activists, she is becoming behind the times.

Women and girls are becoming more free than ever before and are going out armed with mobile phones to have sex with men. There is no fun in having sex with aging lesbians.

In the media today, there is a report of two highlands women being diagnosed HIV positive and pregnant after arranging one night stands on mobile phones.

We read in the media of highlands women smoking marijuana and drinking homebrew. That would have to be a major factor in becoming HIV positive.

Foreign lesbians are telling girls they can be free from family and that they have rights. So many girls are exercising their rights by going to discos and having sex with men.

So Marie, time to change your strategy. You used to talk of Positive Living and was even brought to Madang by the AusAID advisors to talk on the subject. You probably excluded family and faith which made your view acceptable to AusAID lesbians.
