Both are trying to push the public perception that markets in the city are dangerous places.

We have visited the market and interviewed vendors and police who tell a completely different story. There were no rapes. No complaints to police. No stoning of the police station. There was violence by individuals.
Journalist Starza Paul can not keep his story straight.
Yesterday the stoning of the police station was to demand release of a youth from the cells. Today it was because an off-duty policeman disturbed a gang of youth planning to rob a shopper. This does no even sound real.
There is no damage to the exterior of the police station as reported by Starza. There were no gang attacks.
The agenda is to show that the market is in danger. The security guards armed with iron bars can not handle the gangs of youths reported to be coming in to rob shoppers.
