FATHERS LOOKING AFTER KIDS

The propaganda that comes from the UN and AusAID is that PNG men are abusive and violent. Women are abused survivors of violence.

But there is another way of approaching this. Stand outside any school in the mornings or afternoons and check the numbers of fathers who come to drop off or pick up their children.

Walk along any city road and see the fathers walking hand in hand with small school children. Note the numbers of fathers carrying their children on their shoulders.

We see fathers wearing a baby sling and carrying babies.

There has to be more recognition of fathers in this country. Foreign advisors have left them out in the cold to weaken the families and take the children. Let  us start with the thousands of loving fathers and husbands.
