CALL TO GOVERNMENT IN PAPUA NEW GUINEA

AIDS Holistics urges the new Government of Papua New Guinea to consider the following in the future of this country:

Positive Living be legislated as the official message in the National HIV/AIDS response;

responsibility for the AIDS message be given to the medical  profession of this nation;

overseas and home organizations to undertake to promote the official message particularly the up-to-date physiology of HIV/AIDS;

churches be tasked to take ownership of the family message to promote as part of Positive Living;

government to stand firm against overseas pressure to legalize gay and lesbian sex and sex workers on the basis of long dormant colonial laws;

foreign advisors not be permitted to dictate the direction of the national HIV/AIDS response with their anti-family, anti-faith and anti-man agenda;

foreign organizations to submit their AIDS message for acceptance by the Government and medical profession of this nation;

messages of rights be accompanied by a focus on family responsibility;

effort be increased to identify and deal with foreign paedophiles who have infiltrated AIDS care organizations;  and

AIDS Holistics be recognized as a key AIDS awareness body responsible only to the medical profession and churches.

Such policy enshrined in legislation will restore the family balance to the nation and lead the community forward in positive ways through the decades to come.
