POLITICAL PARTY SUPPORTS FAMILY

The National 14 February 2012

The foundation of Papua New Guinea's socio-economic prosperity lies within the family unit. Finance and Treasury Minister and Leader of Triumph, Heritage and Empowerment (THE) Party, Don Polye said this in addressing people in Madang last Friday.

He said that the party would complete the work initiated in 1975 with a new surge of God-fearing, vision-oriented leaders with their aspirations to start in the family unit.

Comment: Don Polye attended the Seventh Day Adventist church Family rally in Jack Pidik Park in Port Moresby two years ago. He gave support to the Crusade leader Pastor Simon Vetali in promoting the family.

Don Polye is an elder in the Seventh day Adventist church which places traditional and scriptural importance on the family unit. The SDA church has a strong family focus.

AIDS Holistics called on Don Polye and Seventh Day Adventist politicians to oppose proposed legislation on legalization to legalize gay and lesbian sex. We saw this as the thin edge of the wedge for intrusion of foreign gays, lesbians and paedophiles into PNG affairs.

CALLING SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST POLITICIANS

We ask Mr Polye to support any legislation to limit the entry of paedophiles into PNG and deportation, regardless of whether or not they work for Embassies, High Commissions or United Nations organizations.
