Aug 1, 2020 — Sciatica refers to pain that radiates along the path of the sciatic nerve, which branches from your lower back through your hips and buttocks and down each leg. Typically, sciatica affects only one side of your body.
I have sciatica from falling down a cliff on the Kokoda Track. It causes pain in my feet at night with a hideous burning in the second toe on my left leg. I sometimes feel like cutting off my toe with a bolt cutter. But the pain wiould probably not go away as I may have a permanent phantom pain.
