WHAT CAN SORCERY DO?

Recently, I put a report on this blog seeking to explain
the false basis of sorcery. A friend contacted me and
asked that I come to his office after reading the report.

He explained that sorcery is not an individual matter but
part of interconnected networks of sorcerers who work
within clans and tribes. Their work is hidden and secrets
are never told.

It is not a network of men but of men and women. They
can be commissioned to arrange killings across tribes.
There can be hidden agendas in tribal fights where tribal
chiefs can mark out who is to die on both sides.

Feasts could be arranged with sorcerers doing their work
and people die within days. Sorcery can be metaphysical
and people drop dead from a sorcerer’s attack.

This person explained that sorcery can be one of the key
balances in society with people who work against society
to be killed. But even the system nature of sorcery does
not stop sorcerers from being killed.

Politicians who do not look after their electorate can be
attacked by sorcery and may pay money for continued
safety.

One known way to eliminate a person can be to push him
through magic to stand on the road with a weapon to be
killed by police who are advised that he is there.

It is not wise for the UN to be making political mileage from
sorcery. It is more complicated than foreign advisors could
ever imagine.

There are aspects to sorcery that we could never imagine.
There will be free-lance sorcerers easily killed. They may
be killed by others in the sorcery network.

There still remains the reality that innocent people can be
killed as an excuse for sorcery for a range of reasons within
a clan. It may be adultery, stealing land or owning land that
another wants. Sorcerers can be set up and killed.

People believe that if a person dies, there must be the hand
of a sorcerer. People die from normal body failure but their
death is avenged by wantoks and a person may be killed.
