PHONICS IS THE BASIS OF LITERACY

How could it be any different? We teach the sound of words. Then we teach words. Then we put the words into sentences.

Man, fan, pan, ban, Dan, ran, tan, van.
Mat, pat, rat, sat, bat, fat, hat.
Bar, car, far, tar,

Before we go into other words, we can put these words into sentences:

The man sat on the van.
The cat sat on the mat.
The rat sat on the hat.
Dan ran to the fat cat.
The fat man sat on the car.
Is the car far?

More to come.
