We have posted about 50 reports on this blogspot on Outcome Based Education (OBE). Effort has been made to show the political history of OBE, particularly in the technological race between the US and Soviet Union from the 1950s.
We have shown the role of Mastery Learning (ML) that seems to have been left out of the AusAID brief to the Education Department of this country 15 years ago.
Ask any person involved and they tell you that OBE is about research in the library. That is only a small part. Mastery Learning of skills was never mentioned.
We hope that these reports will help the decision makers in Education to accept the importance of ML. The practical reports on this blog may provide the basis to inform teachers' colleges, high schools, business colleges and teachers of the practical importance of ML.
Mastery Learning also has key importance in Training.
There are many hits on our statistics counter from the USA and Russia. We welcome the readers involved and hope we can provide a human face to OBE and ML. We will write more but seem to have come to a natural halt.
