In Papua New Guinea there is a family with two young men who are brain damaged. They had been smoking marijuana all their lives and still do so.
One son is an angry young man who sits alone in the house. Family tells visitors not to speak to him as he threatens to kill anyone who does.
The other is the family idiot. He spends his time with pens and pieces of paper making notes and loudly giggling. He frightens people who visit with his loud laughter for no reason at all. No one comes any more.
The daughters in the family have left, leaving the brothers to the mother and father. The father has left by dying of prostrate problems and a blocked urethra. So the boys are left to the care of their mother. This is really a horror situation.
What happens when the mother dies? Perhaps the boys can be put into Laloki mental hospital. Their brain damage and dementia are permanent.
I would like to see both taken to schools in the country and shown to the students who are starting on the road to marijuana smoking and brain damage. But the boys are better left alone especially the violent one.
